WHY MANN?
Mann
Construction Ltd was founded in 1996 with the singular objective
of supplying the construction industry with a professional
service that provides civil engineering, groundwork and reinforced
concrete structures. Mann is a managed company, not a family
firm, offering a qualitative professional service with added
value and no added cost. Our approach is straightforward:
to establish what the client requires and do the right job,
on time. In short, to do what we say we are going to do. This
involves addressing technical, financial and safety issues
with a common sense perspective: if you are going to do a
job, do it properly and do it safely.
There is no magic formula behind our work at Mann Construction.
There is no better way than the right way to lay a drain,
dig holes or pour concrete. The difference lies in our approach.
Because we are a managed company, every member of the team
is focused on the work that we do. We engage with the whole
process, partnering with the client to improve the efficiency
of the supply chain. We are pro-active in the truest sense
of the phrase – ready to act on our initiative and to
value engineer on the client’s behalf. We have a very
diverse client list and a constant throughput of work, largely
through recommendation. This, combined with our enviable reputation
within the industry, means that 85-90% of our business is
repeat business.
When Mann Construction is asked to provide a quote we don’t
just bounce back a price,we offer application value engineering.
We prefer to get heavily involved at pre-contract stage to
offer the best possible programme at tender that best suits
the critical path. Our clients want to work with a firm that
gives best value, is committed to doing the job when they
the client wants it done and that understands its role and
the nature of that role in relation to the whole project.
In addition, they should and can expect that we take pride
in producing a professional job.
Mann Construction operates from an acre-and-a-half site in
Enfield, comprising of office space, storage areas, workshops
and our Health and Safety training centre. This centre offers
employees the opportunity to gain certification under the
Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) or City &
Guilds in skills particular to their occupations, as well
as Road and Streetworks qualifications, First Aid and Confined
Spaces training. The training centre includes facilities for
indoor and outdoor training in manholes, scaffold erection
and tower erection.
The centre is approved by the CITB and works closely with
the Construction Health and Safety Group. Through our team
of six Safety Officers and two Training Managers, the Health
and Safety and Training division also supplies safety advice,
expertise and assistance to other organisations within the
industry. |
